Elliptical Leg Tanks are selected when transportable (non-DOT regulated) containment is required for indoor or outdoor applications.  Leg Tanks are equipped with molded-in legs to support the tank and band locators for tie down.  Tanks are manufactured from medium- or high-density Polyethylene with U.V. inhibitors and designed for containment of liquids from 1.5 to 1.7 specific gravity, with Heavy Duty Tanks available at 1.9 specific gravity.  Tank walls are translucent for level viewing and equipped with gallon indicators. This elliptical tank style is designed to provide the greatest capacity with the lowest center of gravity, making it the best design available for transporting larger volumes.  All Elliptical Leg Tanks feature molded-in legs that act as "baffles" to reduce sloshing and provide increased stability during transport.
