Warranty Information

Tanks distributed by Go-To-Tanks, Inc. (the “Product”) are warranted against defects in material and workmanship for a period of ONE (1) YEAR (the “Warranty Period”) from the date of the original purchase, provided they have been correctly installed and have not been subject to misuse. D.O.T. and Septic Tanks are excluded from this warranty.

End User Responsibility:

The end user is responsible for all initial cleaning, leak testing, and certification necessary for each tank application in compliance with State, County, and City requirements. To assess the suitability of a Go-To-Tanks storage tank to a specific situation, include accurate assessments of the chemical compatibility made in accordance with the chemical resistance table furnished by the resin manufacturer. Go-To-Tanks does not warrant tanks used to store Sodium Hypochlorite. Go-To-Tanks does not warrant tanks used to store Sulfuric Acid in concentrations greater than 80%.

The weight, dimensions, and gallonage markers are appropriate, and are not to be used for technical specifications or to measure exact material quantities.

Heavy valves, strainers, and hoses must have secondary support and must not apply an excessive load on the tank outlets. Plumbing must have a flexible connection between the tank adapter and rigid piping installations. Tanks are to be completely empty when using lifting lugs. The end user must use Go-To-Tanks approved supports and skid restraints on horizontal, cone bottom, D.O.T. or any other tanks requiring additional support. Vertical, flat bottom tanks must be installed on a stationary, flat, level solid surface. Sand or fine soil is satisfactory. Fittings may become loose during shipment and tank installation. Recheck all fittings for tightness after tank has been plumbed.

Tanks are warranted for ambient temperatures only. Do not use a cutting torch near the tank or place the tank next to exhaust. Excessive heat will destroy the physical properties of the tank and void the warranty.

Tanks may contain toxic chemicals or fumes, requiring all end users to refer to OSHA confined space entry procedures prior to cleaning a tank. DO NOT enter a tank to perform maintenance or cleaning.

Liability:

Liability of Go-To-Tanks under this warranty is limited to repair or replacement, at Go-To-Tank’s option, of defective product or part thereof, which is shown to have been defective when shipped, subject to the terms and conditions of this Product Warranty and Return Policy.

Go-To-Tanks shall incur no liability under this warranty if the original purchaser fails to provide written notice to Go-To-Tanks of the alleged defect during the Warranty Period. Products believed to be defective shall be retained by the buyer for inspection by Go-To-Tanks to verify the existence of the covered defect.

Limited Warranty Periods:

Go-To-Tanks, Inc. warrants Tanks (1 year) from the date of the original purchase with the exception of D.O.T. and Septic tanks which have special warranties. The Guido and Reggy tanks are included in this (1) year limited warranty.

Warranty Exclusions:

Go-To-Tanks shall incur no liability under this limited warranty if (1) Go-To-Tank’s tests disclose the alleged defect is due to causes not within Go-To-Tank’s reasonable control, including, but not limited to, alterations, excessive heat, fire, sharp blows or abuse of the goods, misuse of the products, excessive loading, internal or external pressure, attempted or performed unauthorized repairs, depreciation of the products due to normal wear-and-tear, or an act of God; (2) the Product is found to have been used other than as specified in the documentation supplied with the Product, or (3) the Product is used outside the country of original purchase.

Go-To-Tank’s limited warranty only encompasses Go-To-Tank manufactured plastic products. Go-To-Tanks will give no warranty for parts, components, or accessories furnished by Go-To-Tanks from other suppliers or manufacturers. They are covered by the warranty of their manufacturer, if any.

Warranty does not cover loss of product through leakage, damages of injury to persons or property caused by leakage, or any consequential and liquidated damages. The customer is responsible for insuring against shipment damage and loss, and thus assumes all risk for loss or damage in transit. Inspect all boxes and all items inside for shipment damage. Report any damage to the delivering carrier immediately. In the event that damage occurs, save the box and all packing materials.

If the product is returned to Go-To-Tanks in accordance with this product Warranty and Return Policy but is determined not to be defective, or to have a defect due to causes described in the preceding paragraphs, then Go-To-Tank’s current processing charges shall apply and shall be charged to the customer.

Product Return Policy:

The manufacturer cannot receive used tanks back to the factory, in lieu of a field inspection; the end user may be required to provide the tank serial number and photographs preceded by a cut out defective portion of the tank, when requested by the manufacturer for warranty evaluation. Prior to the return of any non-used tank or part, a Return Goods Authorization (RGA) number must be obtained from Go-To-Tanks by detailing the nature of the claim defect, owner’s name, address, phone number, a copy of the original sales invoice, and product serial numbers.

  • Go-To-Tanks will provide a Return Goods Authorization (RGA) number after determining that the Product must be repaired or replaced.
  • Upon authorization, the customer shall ship the Product to the address Go-To-Tanks designates, with all shipping cost prepaid.
  • The Product must be received at the designated address within ten (10) business days of issuance of the RGA number.
  • Go-To-Tanks reserves the right to refuse any returned Product that does not bear an RGA number on the outsie of the carton or that is not received within ten (10) business days.

Replacement products provided under the terms of the Warranty are guaranteed only for the remaining period of the original warranty period.

This warranty is in lieu of all other warranties, expressed or implied, including but not limited to, warranties of merchantability or of fitness for a particular purpose. The obligation and liability of Go-To-Tanks under this warranty shall not include any transportation or other charges, the cost of installation, liability for direct, indirect or consequential, damages or delay resulting from the defect. Go-To-Tank’s liability as stated herein cannot be altered except in writing by an officer of Go-To-Tanks.
